FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Can We Help?

We understand that choosing the right support services for yourself or a loved one is an important decision. Explore our frequently asked questions below to learn more about our services, process, and how our team can help.

Who qualifies for services?

We serve adults 18 and older with serious mental illness, behavioral health needs, or significant support needs who require a structured residential environment. This includes individuals stepping down from hospital care, those experiencing homelessness due to mental health challenges, veterans, court-involved adults, and others who need more support than independent living can safely provide.

What is Stellaris Keystone Foundation, and how is it different from Stellaris Keystone Services?

Stellaris Keystone Services, LLC is our licensed clinical and residential services provider. Stellaris Keystone Foundation, Inc. is our nonprofit community arm, providing free housing navigation, resource navigation, peer support, and community education. Together, the Stellaris Keystone family works to support individuals and families across every stage of their journey.

How quickly can services begin?

We respond to referral inquiries within 24 hours. Once a referral is confirmed and the necessary information is in place, placement can typically begin within 24 to 48 hours.

Do you provide services on weekends and holidays?

Yes. Our programs operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our live-in caregivers are always present and on-site.

How does the referral process work?

Contact us by phone, email, or through our referral form. We complete a brief screening call, then a face-to-face assessment. If the individual is a good fit, we coordinate the care plan and move-in date together – quickly and compassionately.

Do you provide transportation?

Yes. Transportation to medical, psychiatric, pharmacy, and community appointments is included in our residential program.

What funding do you accept?

We accept SSI, DAP authorized through the local Community Services Board, and private pay including VA Aid and Attendance or pension income for eligible veterans and surviving spouses. Contact us if you have questions about a specific funding situation.
